When the dogs see Steve coming, they wag their tails and bark a greeting!  Steve has volunteered for the shelter for about three years and is a regular for “play and potty patrol,” coming twice a week to make sure the dogs get some exercise and play time.  He is also the lead volunteer for taking dogs to an Alzheimer’s living facility.

At home, Steve has two senior boxers and two Lonely Hearts cats that he adopted from us, along with a fellow volunteer/daughter and supportive wife.  He fostered a special needs boxer for us and always attends our events. With his smiling and positive attitude, Steve is simply a pleasure to be around, whether you are a human or a dog.
