Our volunteer for the month of July 2012 is Barbara (Barb) Dunn. Barb has worn many hats at the shelter. Between the years of 2005-2008, she was a part-time employee at the shelter, but the majority of the time, Barb served in many more capacities as a volunteer. Transporting cats and kittens to the Petsmart in Lakeline Mall until a Petsmart moved into Wolf Ranch was an important job and must have been extremely time consuming. She has worked in the shelter office as a receptionist, off and on, since 2005. Both cats and dogs have come through her home as fosters over the years. All of the important fundraising events sponsored by the Friends of the Georgetown Animal Shelter have found Barb in attendance. When Friends of the Georgetown Animal Shelter was formed, Barb was right there as a board member and treasurer. She is an amazing volunteer and friend. Thanks Barb for all you do.
