Local pet boutique Pupology is highlighting the shelter’s senior dogs and cats by sponsoring the adoption fees for them through February 28. Seniors are defined as 7 years or older. Owner Janet Cesarini wanted to do something extra to encourage people to adopt older animals, which are often overlooked.  Quite often, senior dogs and cats make the best pets!

Six seniors have been adopted since the promotion started on January 1 – including long-time residents Sweetie, Tiggy and Emma.  The shelter currently has three senior pets available for adoption, and others will become available over the next few weeks:

• Mrs. May, 7-year-old Labrador mix
• Domino, 11-year-old Pit Bull mix
• Bullet, 7-year-old Pit Bull mix
