Low Cost Shots and Neutering

The shelter conducts low-cost vaccination clinics for cats and dogs as a service to the community.  Pets can also get a FREE microchip with the purchase of any vaccine. First come, first served (no appointments). Cash or check only. 

The clinics will be held at the animal shelter from 8:30-11 a.m. on the following Saturdays.  The shelter’s address is 110 WL Walden Dr. (off College St., near San Gabriel Park).

Dog Vaccines:

  • Rabies $5
  • DHPP Combo $10 (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parafluenza, Parvo)
  • Bordetella $5 (Kennel cough)

Cat Vaccines:

  • Rabies $5
  • FVRCP Combo $10 (Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia)


Emancipet, an Austin-based nonprofit spay and neuter organization, now has an office in Pflugerville.  They perform low-cost vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries.  Check here for the costs for various vaccinations, tests and services.

Texas Humane Heroes

Texas Humane Heroes, formerly called the Humane Society of Williamson Country, is located in Leander and offers low-cost spay and neuter surgeries and vaccinations.

  • Female Dog: $60
  • Male Dog: $50
  • Female Cat: $50
  • Male Cat: $40

Local veterinarian John Tarleton, DVM, offers walk-up vaccination clinics at different locations most Saturdays, including at Georgetown Farm Supply once a month.  Contact his office at 512-863-5319 for the schedule.
