#ClearTheShelters Recap
The #ClearTheShelters national campaign was a big success! We thank NBC and Telemundo owned stations – and local partner KXAN News – for promoting pet adoptions throughout the month of August. Their support for animal shelters is amazing and appreciated!
The biggest thanks of all goes to those who adopted and took fur-babies into their hearts, laps and arms! In the end, 38 cats and kittens have new families, and 12 dogs are ensconced in new homes, thanks to the adoption campaign.
Does this result answer the age-old question as to whether cats rule and dogs drool? Inconclusive. We had fewer dogs than usual at the shelter during August because of a kennel renovation project. Kidding aside, we wish happy long lives to all of the adopted pets!
